Cultural Acknowledgement

The CALL Collection acknowledges the past and present Elders, Traditional Owners and Custodians of the language, land and culture represented in this archive; and the many people and communities who have contributed to the Collection, including language speakers, language workers, linguists, teachers and students.

The Collection recognises the past and present Elders and Traditional Owners of country that host Batchelor Institute’s campuses, and of all the lands where the physical and digital archives are held, now and in the future.

Acknowledgment of Country, Batchelor Institute

Batchelor Institute recognises and respects Indigenous Australians as the Traditional Owners of these lands. We support Indigenous education, research and cultural awareness.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge and pay respects to the Traditional Owners and Elders – both past and present – of all of the lands on which Batchelor Institute operates its business.

We acknowledge their living culture and unique role in the life of these regions and offer our deep appreciation for their contribution and support.
