About the Collection

You can search the catalogue and see the items held in the archive. Some items are digitised.

When you view or use materials on the website, you are asked to respect the creators and their works, and you must follow the right rules for that work — either the CALL Collection End User Licence Agreements, or a Creative Commons licence. Make sure you understand the right way to use the works.

You must agree to the Website Terms of Use before you are able to see a digitised item. See Using this Website.

The archive room is at the Institute’s Batchelor campus. Access to materials is organised by special request through the Library.

Materials in the archive are kept in archival standard plastic sleeves and boxes, and the room is held at a cool temperature to prevent damage to tapes and other items. These works are kept in a separate room so they aren’t at risk from temperature changes and handling.

Some items are available in digital format. The Collection accepts digital-born items that fit the Selection Criteria.

Digital works can be uploaded to the website after the right consent is given. Finding the right people to give consent can take some time.

Not all the digitised works are publicly available on the website. Contact the Library for special requests.

The Collection Protocol Framework outlines protocols that the Collection follows. These protocols may be updated from time to time.
